Nothing is worth overdoing, especially when it comes to performing the same image conversion task. You can keep converting images, one by one, until you start to feel like an assembly line, or you could turn to a batch image converter. There can't be another similar software that is more straightforward than Crazy Pixels developed - Image Convert.

The software is free and you can have it up and running in a few seconds. There is only a small, 64 Kb file to download, which is the program itself. There is no installation process involved. Just download it and run it, but first, make sure you have Microsoft .NET Framework 4 installed.

The interface features no menus or advanced settings. You only need to select a folder containing images and convert them. Next to the images list you can see a preview area. This helps if you want to convert one or more images, but not all of them.

You can make some settings regarding orientation, color, resolution, aspect ratio and quality in the lower area of the main window. Once you're set, click one of the format buttons and in a few seconds, the process will be done.

That's all there is to say about Image Convert. On the downside, you can't specify an output folder. The results will be mixed with the originals. If you don't opt to delete the original files, you can spot them fairly easy due to the fact that a suffix will be added to their names and you won't be able to see their thumbnails. Now, all you need is another batch editing program to rename them all back, or simply erase the ".org" that has been added after their names.

Pros

Image Convert lets you batch edit images swiftly. Just select a folder and hit a button. It can't get any easier than this.

Cons

You can't specify an output path and the original images are renamed. This can make things a bit complicated. From installing Image Convert on your computer to completing the conversion process, you can do it all in under a minute.
